A corduroy hoodie lined with soft plush is warm, hard-wearing and very comfortable. The ridged fabric gives it a lovely texture, and the lining keeps the cold out. It is a good winter project for children and adults alike.

Fabric and lining
The outer fabric is corduroy and the inside is lined with soft plush, which feels like fur against the body. Corduroy needs a few extra precautions, such as cutting with the nap in one direction, pressing carefully and finishing the seams, which we describe in our corduroy sewing guide.

Front closure options
You can fasten the front in several ways, depending on the look and the age of the wearer:
- Wooden button snaps for a natural, rustic look
- Hook-and-loop (Velcro) tape for small children who need quick fastening
- A metal or bone-coloured zipper for a classic hoodie look
Whichever fastening you choose, sew it on firmly and check it regularly, especially on children’s clothes.
